Classification of CKD

The severity of CKD is classified from 1 to 5 depending upon the level of GFR.

Mode of action:

Ginseng

Ginseng as an anti-diabetic and covers all the hormonal and neurological symptoms of CKD. It normalizes weak kidney function by adaptogenic and immune potentiation action.

Pareira Brava

Tubocurarine is isolated from stem and bark of Pareira brava, a neuro muscular blocking agent that have the action typical of curare. It is power full muscle relaxant used in kidney failure.

Stigmata Maydis

The extract of stigmata is used for supportive treatment of chronic nephritis. It is successfully used in urinary problem and in organic heart diseases with much oedema of lower extremities, scanty urination and enlarged prostate.

Crataegus

Crataegus extract as ACE inhibitor is used for hypertension. Recent therapeutic uses of crataegus concern cardiovascular effect especially in regards to atherosclerosis, hypertension and congestive heart failure.

Berberis vulgaris

Xanthine oxidase causes hyperuricemia leading to gout and renal stones. Berberine, active constituent of Berberis,is important inhibitor of xanthine oxidase. Berberis vulgaris has been used in allopathic medicine as an antipyretic cholagogue and purgative.

Cannabis sativa

Cannabis sativa is used as a sedative. The active constitute is tetrahydrocannibol (THC). It is sedative, bronchodilator and analgesic.

Cantharis

It contains Cantharidin. It is used in acute cystitis and hemorrhagic nephritis.

Equisetum

It contains saponins andpotassium, which have anti hemorrhagic properties. Equisetonoside and potassium has anti rheumatic properties. It is a urinary anti septic used in chronic urinary infections.

Hydrangea

A remedy for stone, profused deposits of white amorphous salt in urine. Renal colic pain in lumber region. It acts on the ureters.

Lycopodium

45 to 50 % fats, including glyceride fatty acids both saturated 28% and unsaturated 72%. Alkaloids that are closely analogues in structure to morphine(lycopodine). It acts on kidney and genital system and metabolism of uric acid, urea and cholesterol. Analgesic.

Sabal Serr

It contains oleic, lauric, myristic and capric acid. The lipophilic compound from this herb, most notably lauric acid, inhibit the enzymes (5-a-reductase), responsible for converting the male hormone testosterone to 5-a-dihydroxytetstosteron, the metabolite especially associated with prostate enlargement. So sabal improves urine flow value and residual volume value with all other symptoms of BPH (benign prostate hyperplasia)

Sarkanda

It acts as an antiseptic and improves the urine flow in cystitis.

Alfalfa

It is anti-anemic due to its valuable mineral and vitamins contents. Kidney patients are usually anemic. So it beneficial for kidney patients.

Eucalyptus

It contains 70 % cineol. It is powerful antiseptic used in infection of bladder and dysuria.
