A dry cough with a harsh sound, cough with a whistling sound, feeling of constriction in the throat, coughing with speaking or lying down, dry throat and chest pain, feeling better with drinking a little water, sensation of suffocation in the chest, necessity of holding the chest while coughing, coughing while lying down, etc. This medicine is extremely beneficial for all these symptoms.

Mode of action

Ephedra vulg

Active constitute ephedrine, useful in treatment of asthma bronchitis, hay fever.

Bryonia

It contains cucurbitacin. It has chemical structure similar to corticoid (A group of natural hormone produce by adrenal cortex, For Example: Cortisone, Hydrocortisone, Prednisolone) relieves cough and rheumatic pain.

Ipecac

Emetine in low dosage it act reflex as a good expectorant.

Belladonna

Main action is due to atropine hyoscyamine, anti spasmodic, sedative in acute cyroza hay fever rhinitis.

Justicia

Contains bromhexine, which is a synthetic derivative of vaccine an alkaloid derived from the plant, it reduces of viscosity the bronchial secretion, so mucolytic effect for easy expectorations.

Mentha Pip

Contains menthol having a soothing effect, relief nasal congestion and catarrh.

Dosage

Adults:

1 to teaspoons three time a day.

Children:

6 to 12 years ½ to 1 teaspoon three time a day.
